American Influencer Awards 2017

On November 18th 2017, BC Live Productions teamed up with Conveyor Media and Station 22 to live stream the FIRST EVER American Influencer Awards! This award show was put together to honor the biggest beauty influencers across all platforms of social media. Nominees were chosen based on many different factors such as: growth, engagement, content, and how much of a positive influence they are in the community. Winners were chosen based on public voting. The American Influencer Awards 2017 was aired on November 18th.

The Red Carpet and Pre-Show was hosted by Larisa Love, a leader in the Professional Hairstyling Industry. Following the Pre-Show festivities, Youtube Stars/ Social Influencers Kandee Johnson and Patrick Starrr took the stage to host the Main Event.

The show brought in a number of other influential guests such as:

Former WWE Diva- Natalie Eva Marie. In 2015, Eva Marie launched her own line of hair extensions through a partnership with Bellami Hair. She also launched her own fashion line in 2016 called NEM Fashion. In 2017, Eva Marie had announced that she had parted ways with the WWE in order to pursue other ventures.

The mind behind the hugely popular Beachwaver Pro hairstyling tool- Sarah Potempa. Her hairstyling days started in a small salon at the very young age of fifteen. Since then, Sarah has become a leader in the hair styling scene; styling hair for magazine shoots, movie premieres, and celebrities.

Even the first male CoverGirl spokesmodel, James Charles was there. James is an internet personality as well as a widely popular makeup artist. In 2015, James launched his personal Youtube channel which now has over one million subscribers.

During the ceremony, special guests Ricky Rebel and Season 10 winner of "The Voice" Alisan Porter took the stage to blow audiences away with powerful performances.

A huge congrats to both Jaclyn Hill and Guy Tang for winning two Influencer Awards that night. Jaclyn won the 2017 Makeup Tutorialist of the Year Award as well as the 2017 Brand Collaboration of the Year Award. Guy Tang won the 2017 Creative Hair Colorist of the Year Award alongside the 2017 Hair Influencer of the Year Award.
